Rodrigo Alves was born to the parents of a Brazilian mom and an British father at the end of July 30th 1983 , in Sao Paulo. [4] Her father, Roserval Alves, hailed from an ethnically Portuguese family who arrived in Brazil in the late 1940s. They started with farming, but later they moved to shopping and retail centers. Her grandfather bought Barbie dolls for her as just a child. Alves was born a male however, she believed that she should be female until her age of "three three, four, five or six". In addition, she had fun with dolls and crossed-dressed, and enjoyed playing with them. It is her belief that women should not be defined in terms of gender. When she was younger, she was bullied and shy. Alves had to endure bullying as a teenager due to hormone dysfunction. The excess estrogen in her body caused breast tissue to grow. Alves' family is home to a number of Brazilian grocery stores, which have made the family rich. But, Alves is yet to make any profits related to the stores in 2018. Alves immigrated to London at the age of 18, and studied public relations at the London College of Communication. The maternal grandmother of her left her the money she needed to pay for her studies.
